The shortlist for the 2018 Australian Fraud Awards was released last month, with Auror named as a double finalist in the Best Newcomer and Best Collaborative Solution categories.
The awards showcase the best in risk, security and loss prevention work across Australia, inviting entries and nominations across 10 categories to recognise excellence in the industry. This was the first year for the awards in this region, following the success of other programmes held previously by Retail Risk in the UK and North America.
Entries were judges by a panel of seven retail industry judges, looking for ROI, innovation, and the value of partnerships across the different categories.
Organisers cited an impressive number of entries in the competition this year, with the quality noted as “extremely high, and competition fierce”.
“This is great recognition of the efforts of some pioneering retailers and police in collaborating to reduce crime in the community,” says Phil Thomson, Auror Co-CEO. “We’re thrilled to have been recognised across two categories of the awards, made all the more special by being able to celebrate alongside our valued partners from retail and police.”
Winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony on 30 August following the Retail Risk Sydney event.
